A Saddled Chocobo.

Chocobos, added by the Chococraft mod, are ridable, ostrich-like mobs found in packs in forests, plains and mountains biomes (including the snowy biome equivalents). Each has their own special traits.

Taming a Chocobo

To tame a Chocobo, you will need Gysahl Greens (about 2-3 are recommended).

Gysahl Greens found in a Plains Biome

When you have found a Chocobo of any colour (only yellow Chocobos appear in the wild) approach it and right-click on it while holding a Gysahl Green. If it is successfully tamed, red heart particles will display and a red collar will appear on the Chocobo's neck (like a tamed wolf) and you will be able to name it. If you are unsuccessful, try again (possibly multiple times) with your Gysahl Greens until the red hearts appear. When tamed, it will not move unless you push it or ride it.

Riding a Chocobo

After you have tamed a Chocobo, you will be able to place a Chocobo Saddle on it. To place a Chocobo Saddle, right-click a tamed Chocobo with a Chocobo Saddle in hand (equipped). The saddle will be removed from your hotbar and placed on the Chocobo. To ride the Chocobo, right-click it again with an empty hand.
